IOM in the Field: Improving the Living Conditions of Migrants and Refugees in Mainland Greece (2016-2018).
Through the establishment of the Emergency Operations Unit, IOM Greece focuses on the Humanitarian Response to the Mediterranean migrant and refugee crisis.
IOM supports the Government of Greece to reduce the effects of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Greece and empower migrants and refugees stranded in the country.
Through U-CARE project, IOM ensures the provision of services to vulnerable groups stranded in Greece.
Since 2010, more than 30.000 individuals have safely returned back home with the contribution of IOM Greece.
