Helios+ is a portfolio of 13 regional Integration Projects, one per each Greek region, dedicated to fostering the integration of third-country nationals into Greece's labour market and society. Designed by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) with the support of the Government of Greece (GoG), HELIOS+ builds upon the successful foundation of the HELIOS Project (2019–2024). Co-financed by the European Social Fund+ (ESF+) under the Regional Programs (RP) for 2021–2027, HELIOS+ aligns fully with Greece's National Strategy for Integration. 

HELIOS+ is committed to empowering Beneficiaries of International and Temporary Protection residing in Greece by providing them with the tools and resources needed to achieve socio-economic independence and actively participate in the Greek community, while promoting self-reliance and inclusion through a comprehensive set of services tailored to the needs of the target group.  

 

HELIOS+ services include: 

  • Career Development and Employability Support 

Strengthening and facilitating the access of HELIOS+ target group to the labour market, through group and individual sessions of career counselling, vocational training and networking with local employers; 

  • Access to Social and Public Services 

Facilitating autonomous access to social and public services and monitoring the integration process of HELIOS+ target group through individualized and group support sessions; 

  • Language and Communication Skills 

Supporting HELIOS+ beneficiaries’ independent communication in the local society and workplace through Greek language courses; 

  • Housing and Independent Living Support 

Strengthening independent living in Greece by providing accommodation support to secure accommodation, including rental subsidies; 

  • Community Engagement and Awareness 

Raising awareness and strengthening the host communities and involved stakeholders at the local and regional levels through activities fostering social cohesion and cultural exchange. 

  

By providing targeted support, HELIOS+ not only helps people integrate in the Greek labor market and the Greek society but also strengthens local communities and fosters a shared sense of belonging, while promoting the European way of life through inclusivity, cooperation, and sustainable growth.
