I.R.R.M.Cr - Immediate Response to the Refugee – Migrant Crisis by providing sheltering and accommodation, catering, hygiene and cleaning services on the mainland

Duration: 1 October 2019 – 30 June 2020

Description: With the objective to facilitate access of migrant children to formal education, IOM supports the daily transportation and escorting of migrant students from open accommodation sites and hotels to public schools. Activities are implemented by capitalizing on IOM’s previous experience since 2016, and with respect to COVID-19 preventative measures, in line with the guidelines of the relevant authorities.

Target group & locations

Migrant children residing in open accommodation sites in mainland Greece; Unaccompanied Migrant Children (UMC) residing in temporary hotels in mainland Greece.
