IOM´s Announcement about the Vaccination in the Migrants’ Open Accommodation Facilities
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) welcomes the commitment of the Greek authorities to proceed with the vaccination of the migrant populations hosted in Greece as well as the initiative of the National Public Health Organization (EODY) to organize specialized teams that will conduct the vaccinations inside the open reception facilities. IOM also takes this opportunity to rectify the incorrect information given yesterday at the Press Briefing Meeting about plans for having migrant populations vaccinated at structures for the general Greek population.
IOM, as the official Site Management Support actor, stands ready to support the vaccination of migrant population inside the facilities.
Access to health services for all is a human right and ensures the public health.
