Online Training Seminar aimed at Professionals in the Field of Language Education
On Monday, January 4th 2021, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., a training seminar will be held in the framework of the DeTalks programme. This educational activity is a collaboration of the Synergy of Music Theatre and IOM Greece, in order to place special emphasis on the social aspect of language education and the ways in which people express themselves.
The DeTalks programme is primarily addressed to Non-Formal Educators and Community Engagement Specialists. This type of education aims to provide an innovative idea in the field of support and integration of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, through familiarizing professionals working in the field with the use of non-verbal communication and expression methods.
The seminar will be conducted online through the Zoom platform. During the training, instructors and trainees - employees of IOM Greece, they make use of specific tools in order to strengthen their educational skills and utilize this knowledge in the future. These tools are, namely, the manual (which includes 18 methods) but also several educational videos, which go deeper into the inclusive dynamics of non-verbal communication.
Each participant will receive the DeTalks manual in Greek, where there are all the respective links to the educational videos.
The DeTalks project is co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme.
