Pulling Together: Donation of Clothes for Migrant Community
Athens - “Everyday Refugees Foundation” with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) donated 600 high-quality outdoor pants from KEEN Europe to asylum seekers in open accommodation facilities located near Athens.
“To see the happiness and gratitude of these people when receiving these clothes is the best reward. The “Everyday Refugees Foundation” continues to be an example for all of us, this donation is just one of their many initiatives to support migrant and refugee communities in Greece”, Gianluca Rocco, Chief of IOM Mission in Greece.
This donation comes part of foundation’s ongoing campaign We are all in this together which was launched last April to support and assist migrants in need throughout these challenging times.
“Trying to make a difference amid these challenging times we are all passing through is our main priority. Not only to help but also to empower those who needs our help and support the most”, said Muhammed Muheisen - Chairman and founder of Everyday Refugees Foundation
Everyday Refugees Foundation is a Dutch non-profit organization based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, which aims to document, educate, help and empower refugees, local communities and internally displaced people by conflict, poverty, natural disasters and discrimination.
IOM supports the Greek authorities in the site management of 32 open accommodation facilities with the funding from the European Commission – DG HOME.
