From Ritsona to the Grande Bretagne

The Chalkida National Agency for Employment (ΔΥΠΑ/DYPA) organized a Career Day at a central city hotel on September the 17th, 2022. IOM and Solidarity Now jointly organized a visit with a group of Ritsona beneficiaries who had their CVs ready and had been prepared to network with employers from the wider area, submit job applications and go through an interview process with companies who would be interested. Y.H., a male Ritsona resident from Cameroon, was one of the Chalkida Career Day participants, who arranged several job interviews during that day. He received two job offers, one at the warehouse of a well-known supermarket branch in Athens and the second, which he finally accepted, for the role of the Floor Manager at one of the most luxurious and prestigious hotels in Athens, the Grande Bretagne. The Solidarity Now field team supported him through the hiring process, informed him about the job contacts in Greece and with translations of the necessary documentation.
