A specialized training on hairdressing for women beneficiaries

The IOM Education & Skills development team in Ritsona collaborated with the trainers of a local educational agency, the private IEK Praxis in Chalkida and co-designed a 20-hour training session on hairdressing, for 15 young women from the African community of the site. The training started on the 9th of August and was completed on the 13th of September 2022. Twelve (12) women attended without absences and received a vocational training certification. The ladies were being transferred to Chalkida using the IOM remote transportation service and evaluated their experience as encouraging, empowering and very helpful on the practical level of seeking employment.
