Duration: 12 months
The general objective of the Specific Action is to support victims of human trafficking (VoT) who are third-country nationals (TCN) by providing specialized services both to institutional actors involved in combating human trafficking as well as through direct support to victims.
The action includes the implementation of activities in two pillars:
• Provision of technical support to the office of the National Referral Mechanism (NRM) at the National Center for Social Solidarity and conducting educational seminars across Greece for frontline staff working in reception facilities, shelters, or other accommodation facilities, aiming to enhance their skills and knowledge and to acquire the necessary competencies to meet the protection needs of victims of human trafficking.
• Empowerment of victims of human trafficking with the goal of their (re)integration, especially regarding access to integration opportunities, through in-kind support and improvement of the living conditions of victims of trafficking residing in shelters and accommodation facilities.
The action is implemented by the International Organization for Migration- Mission in Greece (IOM), in cooperation with the General Secretariat for Vulnerable Persons and Institutional Protection (GSVPIP) of the Ministry of Migration and Asylum (MoMA), and with the overall support of the National Center for Social Solidarity, within the framework of the National Referral Mechanism for the Protection of Victims of Human Trafficking (NRM).
The action is part of the "Greece Program - Asylum, Migration, and Integration Fund 2021-2027" and is co-financed by the Asylum, Migration, and Integration Fund.
